This property is 40.4 ha of open woodland and forest on the western shores of the Tamar River near Greens Beach, about 55 kilometres north of Launceston. The area is home to the rare Black gum community which here boasts a very rare grasstree.
A house site is available subject to an approval which the Tasmanian Land Conservancy is in the process of obtaining. Services are available on the boundary of the property.

Conservation Values

The property is level with beautiful and intact woodland and forest. Black gum (Eucalyptus ovata) woodland covers 26 ha. Arching flowering stalks of button grass dominante the ground cover and diverse timy wildflowers hide between the tussocks. This is an Endangered forest community under the Tasmanian Nature Conservation Act, over 90% of it having been cleared in the Tamar Valley.
Coastal peppermint (Eucalyptus amygdalina) forest with a diverse shrub understorey completes the property. Shiny grasstrees are a special feature os this property - a Tasmanian endemic and listed as an Endangered species under the Commonwealth Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act and Vulnerable under State legislation.

Living on the Land / Conditions

All native plants and animals and their habitat will be protected by a conservation covenant under the Nature Conservation Act 2002.
A domestic zone of one hectare will be provided to enable the owner to build a house.
